A New Beginning

It's time to defeat the defeatist attitude once and for all.  It's time to stop beating myself up for my weight yo-yo'ing and diet bouncing.  A setback isn't the end of the world and more importantly it's temporary as long as I keep plowing through.

I've rejoined Weight Watchers and I'm ready to start the new journey.  I have some hurdles and obstacles in my way but I will find a way to persevere.  I found out a little over a week ago that I had re-ruptured a disc in my back and will have to have surgery again.  I have a significant amount of pain in my right leg from sciatic pain which has made most exercise very difficult and painful.  My surgery has not yet been scheduled because I have to have a nerve block injection first (tomorrow) and I will be able to schedule my surgery after that.

My hope is, after the injection tomorrow, I will fill a little more up to at least some exercise, maybe even walking.

At any rate, because of my issues with my back, my diet is even more crucial than ever before, hence the reason for joining weight watchers again.

As of this morning, my weight was 182.6 lbs.  My ultimate goal is about 145 lbs, I'm 5'7" so that would be a very healthy, yet attainable and more important maintainable weight for me.  I will weight in once a week on Tuesdays (I usually weight myself every day and may or may not post that) but my goal is to journal my experience to help keep myself on track.
